Tim Tebow Receives an Official Offer

Well, the Tim Tebow experiment as a baseball player is a little closer to get off the ground. The former first-round NFL draft pick tried out for scouts and professional franchises Tuesday in SouthCarolina. Not to anyone’s surprise, the scouts ran Tebow across the coals, but that didn’t stop that first team from making an official offer.

The Bridgeport (CN) Bluefish, make an official offer Wednesday “announced that they have formally offered former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow a contract to play for the team during the 2016 season.”

Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole said, “The Atlantic League is all about giving players opportunity, and we think Bridgeport would be a great place for him to begin his professional baseball career.”

Tebow’s workout hosted reportedly, 28 Major League ball clubs and over 40 scouts from those teams. He faced live pitching from former MLB pitchers, and managed to hit five home runs. It was said that Tebow’s 60-yard dash time was “above average.” Attendees confirmed that a lot of the workout was focused on showcasing his outfield skills, which is where most scouts see him fitting the best.

There is a fair amount of septarium, at age 29, if Tebow will be able to make a Major League roster, he has completed the first step and received an offer. Where this chronic dream ends up, it anyone’s guess.
