The New York Jets will place their leading rushing on injured reserve for the last week of the season. Running back Matt Forte was ruled out for the second consecutive week, but the team decided to him on IR to free up a roster spot. The veteran RB has been battling knee and shoulder injuries.

The Jets promote defensive back Bryson Keeton from the practice squad to the active roster.

Forte ends his 2016 season with 813-yards rushing on 218-carries. He caught another 30 balls for 263-yards and tallied up eight total touchdowns in 14 games.
