Former first-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, wide receiver Justin Blackmon has found his way back into more trouble. He was booked into Carter Country Jail, in Oklahoma, early Saturday morning for driving under the influence (DUI).

Blackmon, 25, was booked into custody at approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday, according to jail records.

He is a former standout at Oklahoma State and was the sixth overall selection in the 2012 NFL draft by Jaguars. This isn’t the first rodeo for the former Cowboy he was suspended in November 2013 for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.

This will be the third known DUI charge in the past 5 five years. He was arrested in Texas in 2010 on a misdemeanor DUI, again in Stillwater, OK in June of 2012 when failed to submit to a breathalyzer test following a traffic stop. And just in July 2014 he was arrested on marijuana charges in Edmond, OK.

“People are going to think what they are going to think,” Blackmon said in a press conference after his 2012 arrest. “Words are words. It’s my actions that are going to have to show.”

The media asked him if he thinks he has a problem and Blackmon responded “I do not. I just think I made a poor choice and put myself in a bad situation. And it’s completely my fualt and I need to make better judgements.”

In the the three years since he has been drafted he has played a total of 20 games for the Jags. The first-round pick was able rack up 1,280-yards on 93 catches, and six touchdowns. His rookie season was his best season by far. 865-yards, 64 recptions, and five touchdown came in his first year int he league.

It has been down hill from there. He has not played a snap since 2013 and was denied reinstatement by the NFL.

It is pretty clear to me that Justin Blackmon struggles from addictions issues and most like has like to no support stucture to help his fight his disorder. I hope for his life he find the help and support that he needs.
