Florida Freshman CB Arrested Facing Felony Charges

Wednesday University of Florida freshman cornerback  Deiondre Porter has been suspended indefinitely follow his arrest pending felony charges. The brunt for which revolves around Porter firing in the direction for his pregnant girlfriend.

The Gator officially announced the CB’s suspension  on social media and on a Southeatern Conference Coaches call, UF head coach Jim McElwain said that, “[Porter] no longer with the football team.” McElwain also stated that “[Porter’s] suspended indefinitely for obviously a choice. It’s his choice not to be with us. I’m sure you’ll read about it soon enough. It’s one of those things that we don’t obviously condone. Like I said, it was his choice.”

According to the court records from Alachua County, the now former Gator is facing three felony charge that of aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, and discharging a firearm into a vehicle or building, and a misdemeanor charge of property damage under $200.

The Gator (#8) face their toughest opponent this season the trave to Death Valley to play LSU (#6) Saturday night.
